About Costumary
Costumary is a build journal for long-running creative projects: the material tests, fabric decisions, technique notes, progress photos, and deadlines that usually end up scattered.
The workspace remembers what you are making, what materials you have, what worked before, and what still needs to be finished.
The goal is simple: help makers plan, track, and finish builds with less chaos and more confidence.

Our mission
Builds are complicated. Costumary gives every project a calm place to live from first sketch to final showcase.
We honor the artistry of making with tools that respect your process, your materials, and your vision.
Every reference, deadline, material choice, and build decision stays connected to the project you are making.
A peaceful, organized workspace designed to reduce deadline stress and help you keep building.
The name
The name comes from costume, memory, and diary: a place for the costume you are making, the decisions you do not want to lose, and the notes that show how it all came together.

What you get
Pin inspiration, source images, and visual notes to a spatial canvas you can zoom, group, and annotate.
Track what you need, what you have, what you've ordered, and what it cost — across every project.
Break builds into phases with deadlines. See what's done, what's next, and whether you'll finish in time.
Set a budget, log spending, and see real-time totals. Know what a build actually costs, not what you hoped.
Document progress with photos, notes, and technique records. Your future self will thank you.
Context-aware help that knows your project, your materials, and your craft. Ask questions, get practical answers.
About the assistant
Costumary has an optional build assistant. It does not generate art, write descriptions, or create anything for you. It reads your project (materials, milestones, budget, build log) and answers practical questions: “What primer works on EVA foam?” “Am I over budget?” “What should I work on next?”
Think of it as a notebook that can talk back. It remembers what paint you used six months ago, knows your deadline is in three weeks, and can suggest your next step based on what you've actually done so far.
The core of Costumary does not need it. References, materials, budgets, timelines, build logs, components, sharing, templates, and everything else work without the assistant. You can use Costumary for years and never open the assistant tab.
It's there if you want it. Completely optional. Your craft is yours.
