Agreement
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Costumary. By creating an account, accessing the website, or using the product, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use Costumary on behalf of a company, studio, school, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and the activity that happens through it. Keep your login credentials secure and use accurate information when signing up.
Using the service
Costumary gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for personal, creative, educational, commission, or studio build organization, subject to these Terms and your plan limits.
Your content
You keep ownership of the project content you add to Costumary. This includes your notes, uploaded files, reference boards, build logs, material lists, budgets, and timeline data.
Project data
Costume names, sources, deadlines, milestones, progress, notes, budgets, materials, and build logs.
Creative files
Reference images, sketches, uploaded photos, fabric swatches, pattern notes, and other files you add.
Assistant context
Prompts, answers, and project context used to make the Build Assistant useful inside your workspace.
You give Costumary permission to host, store, process, display, back up, and transmit your content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. You are responsible for making sure you have the rights needed for content you add.
Build Assistant
The Build Assistant can help with planning, materials, troubleshooting, and project organization. It may generate suggestions based on your prompts and project context.
Assistant output may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. You are responsible for checking safety, fit, material compatibility, tool instructions, convention rules, and any advice before you rely on it. Do not use assistant output as professional legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical advice.
Subscriptions and billing
Some Costumary features may require a paid plan. We aim to make pricing, renewal timing, and cancellation clear before you pay.
- Prices, plan limits, and billing intervals are shown at checkout or on the pricing page.
- Paid plans renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
- You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method on file.
- You can cancel through your account settings where available or by contacting support.
- Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges unless required by law or stated at checkout.
- We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice where required.
Acceptable use
Use Costumary in a way that respects other people, the service, and the law. You agree not to:
Costumary intellectual property
Costumary owns the service, software, design, brand assets, interface, documentation, and other materials we provide. These Terms do not transfer our intellectual property to you.
If you send feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. We appreciate feedback, but please do not send anything you consider confidential unless we have a separate written agreement.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Costumary at any time. You may delete your account where account deletion is available or contact support for help.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the service, fail to pay fees, or if we are required to do so by law. After termination, some sections of these Terms still apply, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions.
Disclaimers
Costumary is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that every assistant answer or project suggestion will be accurate.
Craft construction can involve tools, heat, adhesives, chemicals, movement constraints, public events, and physical safety considerations. You are responsible for using materials, tools, and techniques safely and for checking any generated guidance before acting on it.
Liability limits
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Costumary will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or service interruption.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid Costumary for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars if you did not pay us.
General terms
These Terms, together with policies referenced here, are the entire agreement between you and Costumary for the service. If a part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
We may update these Terms as the product changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use Costumary after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
