Every Gunpla builder has more kits than time. A backlog tracker shows your unbuilt kits, kits in progress, and completed builds. Knowing the real number helps you resist the next P-Bandai preorder. Or at least feel informed guilt about it.
What to track per kit
For each kit, record the grade (HG, RG, MG, PG), scale, kit name, purchase price, build status, and any modifications planned. For painted builds, save the color recipes and technique notes so you can replicate or improve next time.
- Kit info: grade, scale, series, purchase price, purchase date.
- Build status: in box, nub processing, assembled, painted, top coated, displayed.
- Paint log: colors used, technique (hand brush, airbrush, rattle can), custom mix ratios.
- Modifications: scribing, adding detail parts, LED installation, custom decals.
Tracking spending across the hobby
