What makes a convention legendary?

A combination of history, scale, and cultural impact. These conventions have been running for years (often decades), draw large crowds, attract major industry guests, and are the events people reference when they talk about the convention scene.

How do I get badges for a legendary convention?

Buy early. Legendary cons sell out, sometimes within hours of badges going on sale. Set reminders for registration dates and have your payment info ready. Check each convention page for the official website link and registration timeline.

Are legendary conventions good for first-timers?

They can be overwhelming, but they are worth it if you prepare. Arrive early, have a plan for must-see events, and do not try to see everything in one day. Check the first-timer friendly conventions if you want a smaller start.

How far ahead should I plan for a legendary con?

6 to 12 months is standard. Hotel blocks near the venue sell out fast, and badge prices go up closer to the event. Start your build early too. Use a build template and the convention budget calculator to plan the full trip.
