Convention Center lots on the south end (across from Halls H, I, and J) charge $23/day for standard vehicles and $42/day for oversized. No in-and-out privileges. Pre-book via ParkMobile to guarantee a space; parking sessions begin at noon.
food
The Warehouse District immediately behind the convention center has 15+ restaurants within a short walk. Annunciation Restaurant and Plates (in the Cotton Mill building) are steps away. The French Quarter is about a mile northeast.
hotels
Hilton New Orleans Riverside (2 Poydras St) and Hampton Inn (1201 Convention Center Blvd) are the official GalaxyCon host hotels. Book through GalaxyCon's portal to qualify for the Fast Pass, which gives fast-lane access to photo ops and autographs.

New Orleans in July is brutal: averages 91F with extreme humidity and daily rain. The convention center is well air-conditioned. Outdoor waits between parking lots and entrance will be uncomfortable.
bags
GalaxyCon has zero tolerance for weapons. No metal blades or hard-material replicas regardless of sheath. Nothing that looks like a real firearm even with an orange tip. Cartoonish or clearly fantasy props are fine after inspection at the Prop Check Table, which issues a visible tag that must stay on the prop.

A designated taxi and rideshare zone is available at the main entrance on Convention Center Blvd. The venue's size means the pedestrian entrance at Lobby G (near the Transportation Center side) can save a long internal walk.
