Reze Cosplay
Chainsaw Man's Bomb Devil in two forms: the human school uniform and the full hybrid transformation. The uniform is a tailored dark blazer, pleated gray skirt, and white blouse with red tie. The Bomb Devil form adds a sculpted metal mask and dynamite waist panel. The harness system with chains, ammo pouches, and the amber-red wig with soft waves are the make-or-break details. 8 components, 15 materials, 13-step build plan, ~7 weeks, $100 to $300.

Build guide
Reze is two cosplays in one: the school uniform and the Bomb Devil hybrid form. Do not let that scare you. Start with the uniform. Decide on the Bomb Devil mask later once you have the base down.
I have built a few school uniform cosplays and the mistake I see most often is people buying the full cheap costume set from Amazon. The blazer is passable, but the white shirt is always see-through, the skirt is comically short, and the harness chains are plastic that breaks before lunch. You are better off piecing it together.
Buy the wig first. Reze's hair color is a whole community debate. Manga readers argue pink, anime fans say amber red. I go with a warm copper or amber-red heat-resistant synthetic wig. Get a long one and cut it to bob length yourself; you will have more color options and better fiber than any pre-styled Reze wig on the market. Style soft waves with large hot rollers and let them cool completely before you touch them. Got2b Glued holds the shape through a full con day.
For the blazer, hit a thrift store. I found a dark navy blazer for $8 on my last Reze build. The keys are getting the sleeves to hit at the wrist bone and taking in the waist so it reads tailored, not borrowed. A red tie from the same thrift store finishes the look. Sew the gray pleated skirt from a simple pattern. Knife pleats are easier than box pleats and read the same on camera. The white blouse is a standard button-up pattern in cotton that will not go sheer under convention hall lights.
The harness system is where Reze's look goes from schoolgirl to Bomb Devil. The layering order matters: jacket first, then D-ring mounts at the shoulders, then the cross straps across the chest, then ammo pouches on the belt, then the center chain loop connecting everything. Pin each layer before you commit. I use thin steel chain from the hardware store instead of the plastic stuff from costume sets. It hangs better and does not snap.
The small details sell this build. The red earpiece is an old Bluetooth headset spray-painted matte black with a red LED glued to the stem. The choker with the grenade pin charm reinforces the bomb devil theme without being obvious. Platform boots with memory foam insoles are worth the money because you will be on your feet all day.
The Bomb Devil mask is a whole separate build. If you have access to a 3D printer, the Cults3D file pack has the exact geometry. EVA foam can work but getting a perfect sphere without a form is harder than it looks. I would only tackle the mask if you already have foam or printing experience. The uniform alone gets recognized plenty.
Budget runs about $100 to $300 depending on whether you thrift the blazer or sew everything from suiting. Give yourself about 7 weeks. The wig and harness come together fast, but the blazer tailoring and any sewing will take most of that time.
